Weekends don't count. I'm pretty sure Saturday didn't happen, and Sunday was practically over before it started. I just don't know where the time goes sometimes...
Something that recently popped into mind: If you send in the paperwork to get all of the information the government has on you currently, does that automatically make them start watching you? Like.. I kind of want to see what federal agencies know about me, but if I do, I think that means that now they actually have to watch me because I know enough to formally request that they disclose all information about me. And would the government sincerely believe I want to know what they know simply out of curiosity? No, they're going to think that I want to know because I want to make sure I'm getting away with something, so they're gong to be obligated to look more closely at what I'm hiding... which is incidentally nothing... so why would it matter...? I think I just don't like the idea that they might be looking for something.. waiting for me to slip up on something... that I might think I could get away with. But honestly, I can't foresee that happening. Conundrum...
I have no reason for a federal agency to be surveying me, but I wouldn't want them to if they were. I have no reason to want to know what they know about me, but I want to know. If I find out, then they watch me and there's not really a reason for me to care... Grumble grumble.. where was that form again?

Probably not. (Strange, FireFox spellchecker doesn't seem to work in this input box.) They are too busy watching the real "terrorists" (you know, those people who want to make sure the government doesn't horde money and whatnot). In other words, they probably wouldn't start watching you based on an information request, unless you had already posted in public about political action and activism and they are already aware of those postings. Though I would make sure I wasn't giving them any extra information (cell phone number? A P.O. Box you once rented?) when filling out the form to get the information from them.
ReplyDeleteSo... where/what is this form?
